Drake gone be Drake and there is nothing more to say.

Drake still can make catchy tunes, but has he stopped making good albums

It's one thing when you make things look easy but another when you put in no effort because it's too easy. It's the difference between Jordan and those trying to imitate Jordan.

“Drake is Finished.”

Drizzy is at a point of his career where he can start to tumble backwards if he is not careful. Metaphorically having the game in a chokehold has managed to allow Drake the room to be effortless in his attempts to put out albums. This is serving to turn out to be more factory like production than the spirit-filled, truth bearing Drake we grew accustomed to in his earlier years. Not saying that Drake is still not giving the heart throbbing songs like "Sandra's Rose" so we don't forget why Drake is here and who he do it fo', but it seems as though he strays away from that and continues to stick to a formula that has been working for the past two to three years.

Drizzy is still continuing to press the island influence sound from his native Toronto which has a diverse demographic, along with aligning his upstart Memphis and Houston roots when he decides to be tough guy Drizzy, (Mob Ties, Nonstop, Can't Take A Joke) which has served him well with multiple billboard hits from Nothing Was The Same all the way to now with Scorpion, but leaves you unimpressed because you know it is just doing what works. We know Drake is the machine that keeps on putting out but eventually the same model will get boring and that is what happened to me with Scorpion.

Scorpion is everything but nothing!

If you are the type of listener or buyer who just simply wants your artist to give you what they gave you last time over new instrumentals then Scorpion was perfect for you. Even in the midst of issues with Pusha T and Kanye West, Drake didn't even find it necessary to break from the normal song catalog routine to go bar heavy on ending the careers of his two adversaries. Making it clear it is more important to move units at OVO above all else, even if that means sacrificing expansion and innovation of the music.

At this point the argument for Scorpion is not if it is a bad album because the numbers and fan response will say no. However, this is more of a time for incite on whether or not Drake will be coming to an abrupt end. Scorpion is giving me the inclination to believe that there is not too much left in the chamber for Drizzy. That now he is relying on the old market and methods to sell the "new" package, thus leaving the upward trend he was on as far as his art and music was concerned to now hit a plateau. This leaves me itching for his next project to either verify my statements, or for Drizzy to make a fool out of me (and I'm hoping for the latter). Furthermore, I know the pressure for Drake to move units and make money for all parties invested in him makes it a lot harder to go out on a limb artistically, but I still want great and innovative music from Drake.
